I don’t see your eating challenges as a sign that “something is wrong with you” – but as a place where we can more fully explore some of the personal dimensions that impact your food choices, weight, health and other aspects of your life. I will not simply give you a diet sheet and tell you to follow it. I will be working with you in the areas where you can feel there is work to be done , tapping into your inner resourcefulness and wisdom, getting in touch with what your body needs and empowering you to make the changes you want.

Everyone is unique, everyones situation is different, therefore I will be using a variety of approaches that are most relevant to your situation.
By working in the areas that are most relevant to you, success will be more easily achieved and, very importantly, be manageable and sustainable.
My aim is to support you with coaching strategies and nutrition principles that are nourishing, doable, and that yield long lasting and empowering results.

About My Training
I am a Certified Professional Coach (ICF credentialed) specialising in life coaching and transformation. I am also a Certified Eating Psychology Coach, trained at the Institute for the Psychology of Eating, the world’s leading school in Nutritional Psychology.
Transformational Coaching techniques have added another valuable layer to my coaching experience and I am excited to incorporate these learnings with my Eating Psychology/Mind Body Coach training to work more deeply with my clients as well as offering a variety of strategies and action plans.
The combination of my coaching trainings and years of experience enables me to work with individuals to transform their lives or particular aspects of it, such as their relationship with food, but is not limited to that.
Often, after the coaching starts, more areas for exploration arise and I am very happy to work with you in whichever area is, or becomes, important for you gain clarity on, and to enhance your life.

In the IPE’s internationally acclaimed programme, I have learned powerful, cutting-edge tools and protocols, combining the powerful fields of Dynamic Eating Psychology and Mind-Body Nutrition.
I use a combination of practical coaching techniques, results-oriented psychology, clinical nutrition, body-centred practices, mind-body science, and a positive and compassionate approach to challenges with food and health.

In addition, my background pre coaching was initially in adult and paediatric nursing, then working with families and communities as a specialist community health practitioner (Health Visitor) and more recently as an infant and child sleep consultant and parenting coach for many years.

I lived in Hong Kong for 16 years and last year returned ‘home’ to beautiful South Devon with my husband.  I am the mother of 2 grown up sons and love yoga, gardening, walking and meditative practices. I am currently training to become a certified mindfulness meditation teacher.

How My Approach is Different
For far too long, we’ve been inundated by negative messages about food, weight and diet. There is a lot of conflicting advice from the many nutrition experts, as a result many people are confused about what to eat, how to have a happy relationship with food and a healthy metabolism.

In my professional practice, I combine many of the best strategies from nutrition science, eating psychology and coaching methods.
By eliminating all the “shoulds and shouldn’ts”, I focus on what’s right for you, your body and your personal style and life. Everyone is unique.

As we work together in this way, eating and health issues become a place of exploration and curiosity. Instead of seeing such challenges as the enemy, they become opportunities for growth and self-improvement, doorways to your future possibilities.

In my training I’ve learned to help clients reach their highest goals not by strategies that punish, but through strategies that nourish, creating action born from your inner wisdom and in alignment with your true self and desires.
